Wreath-Laying Ceremony

In conjunction with the LASSAR Annual Meeting and Banquet, the chapter held a wreath-laying ceremony for Maj. Benjamin Kitchen on April 8, 2017, in the Historic Rapides Cemetery in Pineville, Louisiana. The chapter had placed a gravestone in the vicinity of the graves of three of Kitchen's children — Benjamin, Martha, and Harriet — and his suspected grave.

On April 15, 2023, the Enemund Meullion again hosted the LASSAR Annual Meeting and Banquet and a wreath-laying ceremony was conducted indoors at the Hotel Bentley in Alexandria, LA, due to the threat of potential weather throughout the day. Michel Deville was honored for his contribution of 400 carats of tobacco to Bernardo de Galvez and his troops for use on the Galvez Expedition to take the British forts at Manchac and Baton Rouge in September 1779.
